Morača Packrafting Day Tour

Summary

Morača River is the perfect paddling alternative if you haven’t got the time or the means to reach the remote Tara or Komarnica.

The departure point for this adventure is just a few kilometres from the capital, Podgorica. Even so, you’ll be surprised at how wild the surrounding nature is. Once in the packraft, you will have the sense of being far from civilization and you won’t meet many other paddlers along the way. It’s a perfect setting for an excitement-filled canoe day trip, whether you are by yourself, with friends or family.

Morača’s crystal waters are classified as class II and III difficulty, with an occasional class IV rapid in April. It’is friendly to beginners, but at the same time, there are plenty of rapids, especially in the spring and early summer, for more experienced paddlers to enjoy. So, if you have a spare morning or afternoon in or near Podgorica, look no further, this is the perfect adventure for you!

The packrafting section is 11 km long and takes approximately 2 hours to complete, while the entire tour lasts 3 to 4 hours.

The meeting point for the adventure is at the restaurant Potoci, a short taxi drive away, north of Podgorica.

Part 1: Arrival and packraft introduction

We will pick you up from the restaurant Potoci, from where there is a short drive down to the river bank. Once at the river we will assign you your equipment, a packraft and demonstrate its setup. You will also be given a brief introduction to paddling and safety aspects of canoeing.

Part 2: Packrafting

Simple, it’s 11 km down crystal clear waters – pure fun and excitement!

Part 3: Transfer to the meeting point

A member of the ME will wait for us at the end point. Here, we will set down the equipment, take it to the van, and we will transfer you back to restaurant Potoci. This is where our adventure will end. However, if you are staying in Montenegro for longer, you can always join us on another one 😊
